Not Seen: WWI Indian FPOs from Marseilles and Orleans Sep-Oct 1914
Looking at Proud's History of Indian Army Postal Service covering WWI. None of the FPOs at Marseilles Sept/Oct 1914 and most from Orleans covers are described as Not Seen. For example FPO 7, 10 and 11 were both at Marseilles and Orleans but covers with their cancellers are absent from the record for 40+ days and recorded only for locations other than Orleans. I have collected in this area for about 20 years and have not seen anything other than one cover from late October, a stationary office at Marseilles, FPO 20.
Any one with any insight or scans of Indian Army mail from this time frame, are urged to share. Thank you!

Hello Robert
I probally cannot offer much on these early offices. On CM 1 I currently have 61 pages with illustrations and notes, (including Malta) One page to a Censor No.
I have an example of No 529 with APO 17, 12 Dec 1914, with a report that it is back-stamped IFPO 51, Nov 28 1914 (not seen) I have no examples of the APO numbers you quote. Material from this period is rarely seen nowadays I find. I'd appreciate scans of anu Censored material you may have please if possible.
